American Hitmen

This world is a hell hole right now. The ground is breaking up and swallowing entire cities in China. Strange weather patterns and tropical storms are eradicating crops, people, and history as we speak. Wheat and rice are becoming obsolete and it costs me $75 to fill up my Cadillac DeVille. All these horrible, and biblical, plagues are destroying our way of life as we know it, and still the only thing people care about is whether or not Z-list celebrities are feuding, overdosing on drugs, and hooking up with each other. Why, you ask? Because everyone, not just Americans as everyone in the world likes to rant, loves watching people who are more fortunate wreck their putrid lives for no reason. I think it gives us peasants a feeling of victory over those who were born with a $100 bill lodged in their *sshole. Who knows? Every day I wish for the end of the world to come, simply because I'm tired of working toward...uh, what am I working my ass off for anyway? I go to school, pay tuition, get a degree and then what? I still have to start at the bottom. I still have to work my bones into the ground so I can go home and watch some hooker with a rich family bitch about fame on the E channel, only to wake up the next morning to do it all over again. I put away a few hundred dollars every month into a savings account in hopes of, maybe, saving up enough money that I can escape my mundane life and eat at the same restaurants as the f***-up celebrities I make fun of on TV. But I'll never make it there. Why? Because I don't know the right people. I could have all the talent and ability in the world and who am I without the right people stored in my phone? No one. Last year I wrote a slew of amazing tunes with my band, American Hitmen, and we played gigs all over the place. Every show we played left an impression in the minds of each patron that witnessed our performances, and every time I was left waiting by the phone for a call saying "Hey, you made it!!". Guess what? That call never came. So what do I see, instead? Bands like Fall Out Boy rocking out every venue and selling out stadiums left and right. Is it because of their talent? You bet your ass it's not! It's because they knew the right person who got them in the door. They had the number of a guy who knew a guy who had a friend at Capitol records. Last time I checked, you don't even have to have the ability to sing, act, play an instrument, or offer any type of service in order to "make it" these days. You just have to have the right friends, the ability to sell out, and the lack of self respect to get yourself in the tabloids. That's it folks. Forget talent. Forget having anything to offer, except a big ass, rich parents, and no moral fibers whatsoever. Am I bitter? Nope. I just welcome the end of the world. Bring on the earth quakes! Bring on the famine and pestilence! Give me some more death and destruction! Why? Because it's the hard workers, the laborers, the families, and the morally incorruptible that will make it in the end. Not the undeserving heiresses. Not the drug addicted headline makers. No, not them. When it all comes crashing down in the end and reality sets in, those who live their lives in the haze of the surreal, high on recreational drugs and reality show segments, will be lost at sea. In a panic they will realize that their fame and fortune will do nothing for them in the end, when basic human instincts kick in and survival is the only goal. When money will mean nothing and a famous face will get them nowhere. All I have to say is don't come running to us for help, you deviant, over-indulgent sodomites. When the world comes to an end, we will see who comes out on top. Until then, I'm going to go back to my job, where I help people with problems and contribute what little happiness I can to get the through the day. To you, my fellow dreamers, I offer this:
